Pontevedra is easily accessible thanks to a complete network of infrastructure linking the town to the main centres of population in Galicia and the Iberian Peninsula, and even abroad.

By plane 

Vigo Airport (VGO)

It is 10 kilometres from Vigo. Buses are available from the airport to Vigo. Then, if you would like to go to Pontevedra by bus, get off at 7 Travesía de Vigo bus stop and take bus L4C or L27 from there to the bus station. Monbus services depart from bays 21 to 26. There are over 30 services between Vigo and Pontevedra every day. The journey time is roughly half an hour. However, if you would like to go to Pontevedra by train, get off at 13 Urzaiz Street bus stop. From there, buses L8, L16 or L24 will take you to the train station Vigo-Guixar or Vigo-Urzaiz, where you will be able to buy a ticket to Pontevedra. You can also take a taxi from the airport to the bus or train stations.

Santiago de Compostela Airport (SCQ), in the nearby town of Santiago de Compostela, which receives national and international flights operated both by regular and low-cost companies. Santiago is an hour from Pontevedra by bus or by train.

Sá Carneiro Airport (OPO), in Oporto (Portugal). Oporto is 3 hours from Pontevedra by bus or train.


By train

Pontevedra Train Station

By bus

Pontevedra Bus Station

The bus station is also located in Rúa da Estación. Apart from nearby destinations, other national destinations include Madrid, Barcelona, Asturias, Bilbao, San Sebastián, Irún, Pamplona, or Zaragoza.
